Research

Selected work on tropical precipitation, climate-model evaluation, km-scale simulations, large ensembles, and cloud microphysics.

Research Agenda

Climate models are not equally credible everywhere.

My current work asks where model confidence comes from, what higher resolution actually buys us, and how much ensemble information is enough before climate signals become useful for South Asia and the wider Global South.

Can climate models be trusted over the Global South?Evaluating regional model credibility where observational gaps, monsoon dynamics, and development stakes overlap.
What does km-scale modelling add for tropical precipitation?Testing whether IFS-FESOM / nextGEMS improves precipitation structure beyond conventional benchmarks.
How much ensemble size is enough for reliable monsoon signals?Using large ensembles and convergence diagnostics to separate forced change from internal variability.
